To ensure the ongoing operation of the three-level village centre in the event of an earthquake, Mitchell Vranjes, Tonkin + Taylor, and CLL joined forces to design and install a strip of Rammed Aggregate Piers (RAPs) between the building and the nearby river. This ground improvement technique was key to mitigating the risk of liquefaction and protecting critical infrastructure.
