The reconstruction of Mt Eden Methodist Church was designed to preserve its legacy for future generations while honouring its historical significance. The project involved replacing the sloping timber floor and salvaging and reusing original timbers. Additionally, the building required repiling, and seismic-resisting bracing frames were discreetly integrated within the existing walls to maintain both structural safety and the church’s historical character.
