The existing pedestrian and vehicular bridge required a wider footpath. This was achieved by using a mesh grille supported by a structural steel space frame, which is connected to the existing bridge super-structure.
MV worked collaboratively with the commissioned artist Jason Hall to develop solutions that were structurally sound whilst maintaining the artist’s vision.
