We led the seismic strengthening of the Melanesian Mission, developing an innovative lime injection solution to bond the inner and outer stone skins to the rubble core, preventing collapse during an earthquake. The project also incorporated discreetly placed structural steel members and reinforced the existing sarking and plywood diaphragms, ensuring both structural integrity and the preservation of the building’s historic character.
